Had strange dreams Jan. 2nd morning. The little son of a colleague got some alien objects under his nail. The colleague asked me for help. I said it would be expensive to call for medical help and I could pull the things out. I took the boy's hand and saw nails under the finger nail. I held the nails one by one, first turning them lightly and then pulled them out easily. The boy smiled because he did not feel any pain.
Then I was sorting some old papers and magazines and piled them in the walkway. They blocked the walkway.
Then I seemed to have had a nap in the afternoon and missed my class. I had not class schedule with with me. I looked at my watch. it was 2:45 pm. I thought I should go to the 3 pm class. The chairperson came. She did not seem to know that I had missed class. I asked her what time it was. It turned out that I was wearing my watch upside down. Now that I got more time before the class, I went to downtown. At a place where people were drinking, there was a free show, a kind of drama with Chinese actors and actresses. I watched it and read a paper. It was Workers' Evening News, but the contents are very high-cultured. There was a long article about Chinese language. There were some bold types showing some Chinese characters in archaic form. So it must be an article on the history of the Chinese characters. Then it was 2:45 and I should return to school. It was uphill. It would take me about 10 minutes to arrive. I wanted to take the paper with me but since it belonged to the place I did not take it. I left the place with my shoes in my hand and walked fast bear-footed. I saw a Mexican woman holding a baby also walking fast along me. Then I came to some muddy place. I wanted to put my shoes on, but I saw a huge snake on the ground, thick and in orange color. I stepped back. The snake backed out of a cave, dragging a crocodile in it jaws. The crocodile struggled free and turned into a lion, its tail dripping blood because of the bite. The snake dashed after it, which now turned into an ox or buffalo. The snake caught up with it and sank its teeth into the shoulder of its pray. The poor animal let out a shrieking cry and ran towards the cave, with the snake in close pursuit. I thought of my camera in my bag. I opened my bag, fumbled in it and finally got the camera out. I pushed the button but the battery was down. I looked at the cave through the view finder. What I saw is an old woman under the snake and a young pretty woman standing in water, her whole body submerged up to her chest. Then I woke up. It was 4:45 am.
