A Sonnet
White Lee
a pot of wine amid flowers
I drink alone, with no company
raising the cup I invite the moon
with my shadow we make three
the moon's ignorant of drinks
the shadow follows me in vain
I take them in nevertheless
for spring does't forever remain
i sing and the moon roams about
I dance and the shadow scatters
Sober, we have fun together
drunk, we each go to own matters
this bond we forge beyond a world insane
in the distant Milky Way let's meet again
Seeing A Friend Off
Lushly verdant hills to the north of the town
on the east white foamed river flows along
here we part with each other, my friend
your lone sail will you on a long journey send
the floating clouds bespeak your will to depart
the setting sun is my wish for you to stay
waving farewell you hereby your voyage start
the neighing of the horse tears my heart apart |
